Principal Investigator, 2001-2003; 2004-2005. State of Florida Department of Children and Families Johnson Lawsuit Monitoring ($600,000); Training and research related to the experiences of severely and persistently mentally ill clients. One component examined the system of care for severely and persistently mentally ill clients in District 8. Another component examined the experiences of clients upon discharge from state institutions.
Principal Investigator, 1998 through 2004. State of Florida Department of Corrections Women Helping Women Project ($110,000); Grant to implement and evaluate self-esteem an educational curriculum at four correctional institutions.
Principal Investigator, 1998 through 2004. Evaluating Abstinence Education ($500,000); Grant to evaluate abstinence education in 17 programs statewide, conduct needs assessment of abstinence education programs, and evaluate saturation model of adolescent sexual abstinence programs.
Principal Investigator, 1999 through 2001. ($450,000); Department of Health and Human Services. Administration on Children and Youth Child Mental Health and Child Welfare ($450,000). Created, implemented, and evaluated a web-assisted child welfare training certificate program with Sally Mathiesen, Scottye Cash, and Pamela Graham that focused on educating District II workers aspects of child mental health and child welfare.
Principal Investigator, 1998. State of Florida Department of Corrections Substance Abuse Training and Evaluation ($484,000). Implemented and evaluated training on substance abuse in correctional facilities.
Principal Investigator, 1996 to 1997. State of Florida Department of Corrections Motivational Tape Curriculum for Inmates ($80,000) Developed multimedia presentation as part of a larger initiative to encourage inmates to enter offender treatment programs.
Principal Investigator, 1996 to 1997. State of Florida Department of Corrections Anger Management for Youthful Offenders ($25,000). Conducted focus groups, and wrote anger management curriculum for youthful offenders in Florida.
Principal Investigator, 1996. State of Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services. HRS District II Training and Evaluation. ($84,050) Wrote and implemented grant to implement and evaluate child welfare training to HRS District 2 workers.
Principal Investigator, 1996. State of Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services Evaluation of the ENABL Program ($30,000). Evaluated the efficacy of a teenage pregnancy program in the state of Florida.
